Kuvaus (tekijä):
- Michel Delving was the chief town of the Shire in the White Downs, in the Westfarthing of the Shire. Its name means simply "large excavation". It was the busiest town in the Shire and the center of commerce as it lay on the Great East Road. The Free Fair was held every seven years on the White Downs near the town, and the Mayor was elected there.
- The Mayor of Michel Delving, residing in the Town Hole, is the only elected official of the Shire. Michel Delving houses the mathom-house, a museum for old and unwanted items, including for a time Bilbo Baggins's mithril chain mail coat.

- I drew this picture originally for a 2011 callendar that I made together with my sister :Mechor as a Christmas present for our granparents. This was the picture for June.
- Second purpose of this picture was participating in the Life In The Shire contest by Tolkien. So if you like it, you may vote for this picture after January 3rd. ;-)
